Recipe For Cooking Bible Bars

Toaster Oven Cookies :: Bar Cookies

 

Bible Bars

1 C. I Samuel 30:12 (raisins)
Amos 4:8 (water)
1/2 C. Leviticus 3:9 (vegetable shortening)
1 C. Jeremiah 6:20 (sugar)
1 Isaiah 10:14 (egg)
2 C. Exodus 29:2 (flour)
1 tea. Exodus 13:7 (baking powder)
1 tea. II Chronicles 9:9 (cinnamon)
1 tea. I Kings 10:10 (nutmeg)
1 tea. Luke 23:56 (allspice)
1/2 tea. Exodus 13:3 (baking soda)
1/2 tea. Leviticus 2:13 (salt)
1 C. Numbers 17:8, chopped (almonds)

Cook raisins in water; drain, saving 3/4 C. of liquid for later use.

Mix together vegetable shortening, sugar and egg.

Combine remaining ingredients and add the raisins and the 3/4 C. of reserved liquid. Follow the directions in Jeremiah 7:18.

Bake 20 min. in a prepared jellyroll pan at 350 degrees F. Frost if desired.
