Toaster Oven Cookies :: Bar Cookies

Brown Sugar Chews

1 egg
1 C. brown sugar, packed
1 tea. vanilla extract or flavoring
1/2 C. flour
1/4 tea. salt
1/4 tea. baking soda
1 C. coarsely chopped walnuts

Stir together egg, brown sugar and vanilla extract or flavoring. Add 1/2 C. flour sifted with salt and baking soda. Stir in nuts. Turn into a prepared 8-in. square baking pan and bake at 350 degrees F for 18 to 20 min. Cool in pan and cut into squares.
