Butter Pecan Pie Squares1 1/4 C. flour 1/3 C. sugar 1/2 C. butter 2 eggs, beaten 2/3 C. sugar 3/4 C. light or dark Karo syrup 2 Tbsp. flour 1/4 tea. salt 2 Tbsp. butter, melted 1 1/2 tea. vanilla extract or flavoring 1 C. chopped pecans Combine flour and 1/3 C. sugar in bowl. Cut in butter with a pastry blender until it resembles coarse meal. Press into a 9-in. square or round pan. Bake at 375 degrees F for 15 min. Combine eggs, 2/3 C. sugar, Karo syrup, flour, salt, butter and vanilla extract or flavoring. Beat well. Stir in pecans. Pour filling over crust. Bake at 350 degrees F for 25 min. or until firm.
