Recipe For Cooking Butterscotch Banana Bars

Butterscotch Banana Bars1/2 C. butter or margarine 1/2 C. sugar 3/4 C. light brown sugar, packed 2 eggs 2 C. flour 1 tea. baking soda 1 tea. salt 1/2 C. buttermilk 3 ripe bananas In a bowl, combine margarine or butter, sugars and eggs. Add flour, soda, salt, buttermilk and ripe bananas. Beat at med. speed with mixer until well combined. Pour into a prepared 15 x 10-in. pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 to 35 min. Cool and frost. Frosting 4 Tbsp. butter 1 1/2 C. light brown sugar 4 Tbsp. milk 2 C. powderedsugar Chopped nuts, if desired In a saucepan, melt together butter, brown sugar and milk. Do not boil. Stir in powderedsugar until smooth. Pour immediately over Butterscotch Banana Bars. Sprinkle with chopped nuts, if desired. Makes about 3 dozen.
