Toaster Oven Cookies :: Bar Cookies

Cherry Surprises

1/3 C. Crisco
1 3/4 C. sifted cake flour
3/4 C. sugar
2 1/2 tea. baking powder
1 egg
3/4 C. milk
1 1/2 tea. almond extract or flavoring
1 jar maraschino cherries, drained

Mix. Pour batter into a 13 x 9-in. pan and bake at 375 degrees F. Cool and cut into squares.
