Recipe For Cooking Railroad Pie
Toaster Oven Pot Pies :: Beef Pies
Railroad Pie1 lb. ground beef 1 onion, chopped 1 can tomato soup 1 1/4 C. water 1 can whole kernel corn 1 Tbsp. chili powder 1 tea. salt Dash of pepper 3/4 C. cornmeal 1 Tbsp. flour 1/4 tea. baking soda 1 tea. salt 1 egg, beaten 1/2 C. buttermilk Cook beef and onion until browned, stirring to crumble. Stir in next 6 ingredients. Simmer 15 min. Pour into a 2 1/2-qt. casserole. Combine corn meal, flour, baking soda and salt and mix well. Stir in egg and buttermilk. Spoon mixture evenly over meat mixture. Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 to 40 min.
