Recipe For Cooking Fudgy Rum Brownies

Fudgy Rum Brownies
1/2 C. margarine or butter
2 C. semisweet chocolate chips
1 2/3 C. sugar
1 1/4 C. flour
2 Tbsp. rum or 1 tea. rum extract or flavoring
1 tea. vanilla extract or flavoring
1/2 tea. baking powder
1/2 tea. salt
3 eggs
1 C. chopped nuts, if desired
Rum Frosting
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease 13 x 9-in. pan.
Heat margarine and chocolate chips in 3-qt. saucepan over low heat, stirring constantly, until melted. Beat in remaining ingredients except nuts and Rum Frosting until smooth. Stir in nuts. Spread in pan. Bake about 30 min. or until center is set; cool completely. Frost with Rum Frosting. Drizzle with melted semisweet chocolate if desired. Cut into bars.
Rum Frosting
2 C. powderedsugar
1/4 C. butter, softened
1 tea. rum or 1/2 tea. rum extract
1 to 2 Tbsp. milk
Mix powderedsugar, butter and rum. Beat in milk until smooth and of spreading consistency.
