Toaster Oven Cookies :: Cookie Cutter and Ball Cookies


Chocolate Dipped Meltaways

1 C. sifted flour
1 C. cornstarch
1 C. (2 sticks) butter, room temperature
1/2 C. powderedsugar
1/8 tea. salt
1 tea. vanilla extract
Melted chocolate for garnish (about 3 to 4 oz.)
Crushed nuts for garnish

In med. bowl, sift together flour and cornstarch. Set aside.

In lrg. bowl, cream butter. Add powderedsugar gradually and cream well. Add salt and vanilla extract or flavoring. Add reserved dry ingredients and mix well. Cover and refrigerate 2 to 3 hr..

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Shape chilled dough into sm. rounds, triangles, crescents or bars. Place on greased cookie sheets 2 in. apart. Bake 15 to 20 min. or until done. Let cool on baking sheets 1 min. While still warm, roll in powdered sugar. Cool completely.

When cool, dip part of each cookie into melted chocolate, then into nuts. Makes about 36 sm. cookies.
