Recipe For Cooking Toffee Almond Sandies
Toaster Oven Cookies :: Cookie Cutter and Ball Cookies
Toffee Almond Sandies1 C. butter (no substitutes), softened 1 C. sugar 1 C. powderedsugar 1 C. canola oil 2 eggs 1 tea. almond extract 3 1/2 C. flour 1 C. whole wheat flour 1 tea. baking soda 1 tea. cream of tartar 1 tea. salt 2 C. chopped almonds 1 (6 oz.) package English toffee bits Additional sugar In a mixing bowl, cream butter and sugars. Add oil, eggs and extract; mix well. Combine flour, baking soda, cream of tartar and salt; gradually add to creamed mixture. Stir in almonds and toffee bits. Shape into 1-in. balls; roll in sugar. Place on ungreased cookie sheets and flatten with a fork. Bake at 350 degrees F for 12 to 14 min. or until lightly browned. Yields about 12 dozen.
