Recipe For Cooking Sour Cream Rolls

Toaster Oven Yeast Breads :: Dinner Rolls


Sour Cream Rolls

2 pkg. dry yeast
3/4 C. warm water
3/4 C. sour cream
3/4 C. buttermilk or dry buttermilk equivalent
1/2 C. canola oil
2 tea. salt
2 tea. baking powder
2 Tbsp. sugar
5 1/2 C. flour

In a lrg. bowl, dissolve yeast in water. Add all ingredients and half the four. Blend on low speed with a mixer until all ingredients are well mixed. Then increase mixer speed to med. for about tow min. The dough should be well blended and a little sticky. Sprinkle in the remaining flour and mix.

Place dough on floured surface and knead for about five min. Form dough into rolls immediately. Cut an X on top of each roll with scissors. Place rolls in a prepared pan and let sit for 30 min.

Bake 20 min. or until golden brown at 375 degrees F. Brush top with melted butter while still hot.
