Recipe For Cooking Date Nut Loaf

Date Nut Loaf
1 1/2 C. flour 1 1/2 C. sugar 1 tea. baking powder 1 tea. salt 2 C. shelled walnuts 1 C. Brazil nuts 1 lb. pitted dates 1 (8 to 10 oz.) bottle maraschino cherries, well drained 5 eggs, well beaten 1 tea. vanilla extract or flavoring Do not chop dates or nuts, but leave whole, Sift flour, sugar, baking powder and salt together. Add nuts and dates to sifted ingredients. Add cherries. Mix well until nuts are coated. Add beaten eggs and vanilla extract or flavoring. Mix all by hand. Turn into three sm. bread pans and bake for one hr. at 325 degrees F.
