Mix well. Drop by tea. onto prepared cookie sheet.

Bake at 350 degrees F until delicate brown.

2 C. flour
4 tea. baking powder
1 to 1 1/2 C. finely grated Cheddar cheese, divided
1/4 C. vegetable shortening
1/4 C. butter or margarine
2/3 C. milk

Preheat oven to 425 degrees F.

In lrg. bowl, mix together flour, baking powder and 1/2 C. cheese.

Add vegetable shortening and butter; cut into flour mixture with 2 knives or pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal.

Make a well in center, pour in milk and stir with a fork just until dough forms a ball.

On a lightly floured board, knead dough lightly, about 15 times, until it is smooth.

Roll out dough to 1/2-in. thickness. Cut with a 2-in. cookie cutter.

Place on prepared cookie sheet and bake about 10 min.

Remove from oven.

Sprinkle tops of biscuits generously with grated cheese.

Return to oven and continue baking until cheese is completely melted, about 3 min.

Serve warm.

Bake in a preheated 400 degree F oven for 20 to 25 min.

Let stand 5 min. before removing from pan.

1/2 Cups canola oil
4 (1 oz.) squares unsweetened chocolate, melted
2 Cups sugar
4 eggs

  • 20 crushed round crackers, preferably Ritz
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan or cheddar cheese, grated
  • 1/3 cup minced parsley

Take the crackers, cheese, parsley, and mix together in a medium bowl.

Cook zucchini in boiling water in saucepan until tender-crisp, about 5 minutes.


Cook ground beef and garlic in skillet until beef is browned, about 5 minutes.

Stir tomato sauce, salt, oregano and basil into beef.

Layer as follows:

Place half the zucchini in greased 8 inch square pan.

1 acorn squash
4 Tbsp. unsalted butter
1 Tbsp. dark brown sugar
